The Washington Delegation treated us better than we could ever have imagined, especially after the credentials challenge that some among us laid at their feet. I beleive many bridges have been built, and a new mutual respect now exists to some degree. I am proud of our Washington Delegation, I am proud of our Ron Paul supporters, I am proud of those who may not have agreed with us, but were grateful for all we have done. There are not many that I have respect for, but State Chairman Luke Esser has certainly earned it as have Ralph and Chris our Delegation co-Chairs.

The partying was fun, especially with the Ron Paul supporters.

It’s not entirely surprising that they essentially railroaded the National Convention – it’s what we saw at the State one as well. But you are right – we need to move forward and stay involved.

I’ve just read about the way RP delegates have been treated at this convention. It is absolutely shameful. I hope you were not among those who were harrassed, stalked, intimidated, etc. The GOP is becoming the Gestapo Party. I hope all our WA delegates are doing OK. We so appreciate all that you did and your efforts for Ron Paul and liberty. Sad to say, it seems liberty in America is disappearing fast.

My information is that, despite being advised (by Drew Ivars and Lew Moore) to either vote for McCain or hand over their credentials to an alternate so he could do the same thing, ALL of our Washington State Delegates held firm.

I’m further informed that some Nevada Paul delegates were physically threatened by security to allow a fraudulent roll call vote report. I expect to have a more detailed account at http://www.TheReaganWing.com

I agree with C.J. Not only that, but did fellow Ron Paul supporters help raise money FOR those delegates to attend? They should return that money if so! The whole point of sending delegates was so that they could represent the wishes of those who elected them to go!

Thank you Michael for all your missives.
We all appreciate your dedication to freedom.

The act of reneging on their promises and besmirching their honor is disgusting behavior. The names of those delegates should be published on the C4L website so that we all know who are the traitors. They are not serious in this fight. They were elected to represent our cause for freedom and to defect to the evil rulers of our collapsing Country is treason. I would never trust them in the Campaign for Liberty. I would not turn my back to them. That is not a “good faith gesture,” that Is a stab in the back of Dr. Paul and all of us that have worked so hard to get this far.

These will not be the last of our Revolution that will buckle under when the going gets rough, but I don’t want that type of person as a friend and definitely not fighting along side of me or any of my fellow freedom fighters. Let them go they are not worth the effort.

It sounds like they are in their usual form – unfortunately – railroading things through. I’m watching on C-Span and, frankly, some of the stuff, i.e., resolutions that were being passed, I had no clue what they were doing. I heard something about a petition from WA state being denied – is that correct? And can you relay to us what it was about? And do you know which Nevada delegation was seated? Thanks for keeping us posted.

I think there are at least two problems. One was the early primary date – some folks were probably on vacation. The other may be that many of the Republican base are not happy with McCain and the R Party and just won’t vote for any of them. When out walking with Rep. Ahern, we ran into one guy who was very angry – said he hadn’t voted R since the Iraq war. I think the only thing to do is to try to convince them that it will matter and that we know what the R Party needs to do to regain trust.
